- Description DescriptionThe Soft Stop is a guardrail end terminal available in MASH TL2 and MASH TL3 compliant configurations.The unique Front Anchor Technology maintains Barrier tension after impact by securing the Barrier directly to an Anchor Post rather than releasing the Barrier as occurs with systems utilising cables. As the Rail extrudes under impact, a softer, more controlled vehicle ride down is achieved increasing safety for all road users.Description DescriptionFeaturesConnection to Longtitudinal Barriers, Transitions & Crash Cushions: at 787mm Rail Height, the Soft Stop is designed to connect to all EzyGuard systems, MASH Transitions (including Ingal RBT) and Transitions to QuadGuard M10 enabling complete MASH TL-2 and TL-3 compliance.Narrow Head Width: With an 180mm wide Extruder Head which extends approx. 50mm beyond the Face of Rail, the Soft Stop minimises intrusion into the Roadside/Shoulder space and reduces nuisance impacts.Consideration for Utilities & Services:The Soft Stop is available in a Surface Mounted Post configuration. Engineered Ground Beam designs are available to suit Surface Mounted Posts. Alternate footing options are also available to suit the Anchor Post.Grading Options:Standard and Alternative Grading options to suit constrained environments are available for use with the Soft Stop.Multiple Speed Environments: The Soft Stop is ideally suited to all speed environments up to and including TL-3.Verge or Median Application: While the majority of installations are located on the left hand side of the road (verge), The Soft Stop is also ideal for applications in a single-sided layout on the right hand side of traffic. In locations where a Double Sided Barrier Termination is desirable, consider the TREND Median Terminal and/or the QuadGuard M10 Crash Cushion.Rapid Installation: The Soft Stop is supplied in a single bundle with fewer parts and can be installed quickly, reducing labour costs and time on site.Consideration for Motorcyclists: The Soft Stop features a High Visibility Head Cover to protect vulnerable road users. A Metal Cover is available for locations where ground fires are a concern.
