We are proud to introduce the Ingal Long Span Barrier (LSB), a high-performance system engineered to deliver exceptional long-span protection accross a range of roadside environments.

We are proud to introduce the Ingal Long Span Barrier (LSB) , a locally designed and made modular steel barrier engineered to deliver exceptional performance for bridges, culverts, and roadside environments. Constructed from hot-dip galvanised steel, the LSB offers long-term durability, seamless installation, and low maintenance, providing a dependable solution for both metropolitan and regional infrastructure projects.
Engineered & Tested for High Performance
The Ingal LSB has been rigorously crash tested to MASH TL3 and TL4 demonstrating reliable redirective containment for passenger vehicles and trucks up to 10,000 kg at 90 km/h. MASH TL4 compliancy also satisfies the performance requirement of AS5100.2 Regular Performance Level. Being accepted by the Austroads Safety Barrier Assessment Panel (ASBAP) , confirming its suitability for critical road and bridge applications. Designed in accordance with AS/NZS 3845, the system delivers proven performance backed by industry-recognised safety standards.
Designed for Strength, Flexibility & Ease of Installation
A defining feature of the Long Span Barrier is its ability to provide clear span with maximum post spacing of up to 16m, making it ideal for locations constrained by steep embankments, or challenging site conditions such as bridges and culverts where traditional post spacing is not practical. The barrier incorporates a three-layer beam design, maximising contact area and insuring vehicle stability during impact events. Its robust construction means that no components required replacement for the subsequent test after the MASH 4-10 testing, highlighting the system’s exceptional resilience. Each panel is engineered for ease of transport and installation. All elements weigh under 480kg and measures less than 8 metres in length. The Ladder Frame Panel design allows water to pass freely during flood events, reducing debris accumulation. The galvanised finish provides long service life and corrosion protection, and the all-steel construction means any damaged components can be easily recycled making the LSB a sustainable solution.
A Complete, Compliant & Efficient Barrier Solution
With its performance compliancy, long-span capability, modular design, and sustainability, the Ingal LSB sets a new benchmark for robust, reliable roadside protection. It offers a practical solution for engineers and asset owners seeking performance, compliance, and ease of installation across a wide range of project conditions.
